OUR CONCEPT-
IDEA
Mission
Our mission is to uncover societal injustices and oppression through artistic expression, promote critical awareness, and inspire people to take action.

Goals
-
Empowerment of marginalized communities through creative forms of self-expression.
-
Creation of an interactive space for discussions and dialogues on social and political issues.
-
Raising public awareness of injustices and societal issues through theater performances and workshops.
-
Promotion of solidarity and cohesion within the community through participatory theater practices.

We aim to raise awareness of structural power dynamics and break free from them, so that hegemonic patterns of oppression can be collectively overcome. We stand for just conditions and individual freedom.

Activities
-
Theater performances: Staging plays that address social injustices, political oppression, and other societal issues. Audiences are actively engaged to encourage reflection and dialogue.
-
Workshops and training: Conducting workshops based on the methods of Augusto Boal to empower people in communities to express their own stories and experiences through theater and strive for social change.
-
Street theater and interventions: Performing spontaneous theater productions in public spaces to draw attention to specific issues and prompt passersby to reflect and take action.
-
Participation in festivals and events: Presenting plays and performances on various stages, including local theater festivals such as Theater Augenblick, Chambinzky Theater, and Festival Umsonst & Draußen, to reach a broader audience and promote dialogue on social and political issues.

Structure
The theater collective is democratically and horizontally organized, with decisions made collectively and all members being equal. There are periodically rotating artistic directors who provide an outside creative perspective on plays and guide them, as well as working groups that handle practical matters such as planning performances, coordinating workshops, and communicating with other organizations and communities.

Funding
The collective is funded through grants from the EU. Through collaboration with local theaters and educational institutions, we also receive resources such as cheaper or free performance spaces.
